The city pushes went pretty well ..as of 2.0 try on Friday when we could actually get in.

As it stands apperently you have a couple choices neither of which seems to be a WB choice. Parties seem to be able to get in though.

Now the IMO bit,

We need to coordinate better within the Alliance individual guilds seem strong but overall the alliance isn't an alliance it's a collection of guilds which is fine ..when we coordinate.

I tend to be on Alliance vent whenever my vent is running ..for that matter I don't even know if my guild vent ever got fixed..whats the point right?
So why am I so lonely in there ?... I have several vent options handed to me over time by our Alliance and can easily find people.. in THIER vent channels.
it's a free world out there do what you want but IMO if we want a unified alliance we might want to start with using the alliance vent which has been generously provided and even equiped with seperate guild rooms.

I know other people see this problem as well so I am simply highlighting it.

Alliance WBs start with Alliance groups.
personally I don't care which guild forms what group but I shouldn't have to show up to a city push wondering what my job is going to be.
We .. all of us me included .. need to work on trying to find time to work with others in the alliance in ORVR
I hate PUGs with a passion ..If I wanted to PUG in T4 ORVR (especially city pushes) I wouldn't have joined a good guild in a good Alliance.. I would be a PUG.
I honestly don't give a waffle if there is an alliance WB with 2 tanks and a lvl 5 sorc .. I would rather be there.. At least then I can play in a fashion that favours the idea of no heals and no rezzes.
My idea ... every Khaine loving time we have even a hint of 6 alliance players online doing ORVR we start forming up ORVR groups. Make them private and no whining about losing ..we learn until we earn the right to win.
We have Leaders ..good Leaders ... Lead folks ..we'll follow .. don't make me lead no one likes an *explitive deleted* leader.

and yes this post is a bit of a rant .. my apologies ahead of time however because I involve nearly 90% of my free time in this game nearly 90% of my free emotive capacity is involved in this game.

I am guilty of what you speak of myself. I should hop on vent more often, to that end I should get the little problems I have with it fixed.

Telenhir I agree with most of what you say but I do not see why we cannot utilize more than one vent, especially when you have a lot of people logging in and out of alliance vent and it lags me to death.
I can see the convenience of having everyone in one vent but maybe some want to have private conversations occasionally with their friends about personal issues that the alliance members really are not interested in. Different vents can also be helpful if someone is just not in a good mood they can go mope by themselves or with a fellow moper. lol. I would like to be in alliance warbands but it does not seem to happen very often although I do find guild and alliance members in warbands together they are not closed warbands. I have been playing this game since release, ( had a very laggy computer and so was cautious about inflicting my lag on others so played alone alot) and have never seen a lot of alliance only warbands. there was a guild or so that liked to run closed most of the time which was their right to do so, they pay they can play how they like. I think we should start more alliance led alliance warbands but I am not sure that I like the idea of running closed all the time. just my opinion but there it is. As for your ranting, well that is what guilds and alliances are supposed to be about, giving people a place to discuss and talk about their opinions and emotions. I will start coming into alliance vent more often:)

Back on Ostermark, when Black Legion had the numbers, I use to run with them all the time. Then they decided to run guild only closed warbands. I was looking for a wb to join, and was told they had plenty of room, when I went to join, it said it was for guild only. When I stated that, the only response I got was "yep". I did not get an invite, then or any other time after that.

Now to bring things current, just the other day members of Chaos Undivided stated they wished they would go back to running closed GUILD ONLY warbands. So, before you start asking people to have more alliance warbands, you need to ask your guild how they feel. I'm not going to force people to group with me or anyone else.

KoH runs alliance warbands, even tho we have the numbers now to run a full level 40 guild only warband. I have always felt, we are an alliance and should run as an alliance. The reason we are running alliance warband is, we want to to make sure our alliance has the opportunity to join with other alliance members. If I am asked by a non alliance member if we have room and can they join, if I have room, I will send them an invite.

I have never been apart of a Black Legion closed warband nor do I think this has ever happened.Back in the day we had the rep of zerg herders.I've always make my groups and warband /warbandalliance and when Balnor was "running"thing one of his few rules where no closed WBs .I think part of what broke up are guild was the stress of leading these PUGs.

I will not post names on the forums, but I will get with you later and tell you the names if you want. It did happen and on more than one occasion. And it was voiced just the other day, about going back to closed guild only warbands.

I never have thought you were part of it, maybe you were unaware of it happening, but it did happen. I almost left the game because of it.

On this general topic...

I had a lot of fun last night in our Alliance WB in Thunder Mountain.

I've nvr been a part of this nor agreed w/ it at all. Just about everyone knows me b/c i hang out in random vents and random warbands. from CI to KOH to whomever tosses me an invite first...or whom i can con into charging balls out into a warcamp with me ....but i hate this closed wb thing it just drives me nuts but i overlook it simply b/c im a healer who heals so ppl r always like "HEY join me and follow me around" but i agree kat and have always appreciated the fact i can hop on KOH vent server/channel and go "hey guys whats up and where u want me" and i have an invite in less than a few seconds <3
